Watch Out For Email Scams
Identity thefts are always finding ways to steal your identity or make money off your identity. One way is through emails. Everyone nowadays has an email account so identity thieves rely on this information to send false emails. It’s important to read the titles of your emails to decipher if it’s spam or legit. If you open an email that looks legit make sure to read it to make sure it is a genuine email.
A popular fake email that is making the rounds is a PayPal email. They get you to link onto a “paypal” account that is actually a fake and steal your information. This is called phising and it’s very damaging to your finances and identity. Other companies are being used to phish information like eBay. If you get an email from a popular company look at the link address and if all else fails, open up a new tab and type in the address to get into your account. Many companies will not send an email, rather will notify you through their website. So be careful when you check your email.
